From 2001 to 2021, the Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal (APPJ) had a long-standing tradition of being published solely in print format, in collaboration with Azərbaycan Tibb Universiteti. The journal had been a valuable platform for disseminating research and knowledge in the field of pharmaceuticals and pharmacotherapy.

However, starting in the year 2022, the publication of the journal was temporarily suspended, leading to a pause in its dissemination of cutting-edge research. During this time, the editorial board diligently assessed the future direction of the journal, considering the evolving landscape of academic publishing and the changing needs of the scientific community.

With the advancement of technology and the growing demand for digital accessibility, it was decided that the Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal would embrace a new approach. From 2023 onwards, the APPJ transitioned from its traditional print-only publication model to an online publication, marking a significant shift in its dissemination strategy.

With this transition, the APPJ obtained its official online ISSN: 2959-1929, ensuring that it is now accessible to a wider global audience. Embracing the digital era, the journal aims to reach a broader readership, attract more diverse contributions, and facilitate rapid dissemination of research findings in the pharmaceutical and pharmacotherapy domains.

It is important to note that, with this transformation, the Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal found a new publishing partner in Vital Signs Press. From 2023 onwards, Vital Signs Press will play a key role in supporting the publication process, managing the online platform, and ensuring the journal’s continued growth and impact in the academic community.

As part of this new chapter, the Azərbaycan Tibb Universiteti and the previous editorial board of APPJ are no longer directly involved in the journal’s operations. However, their contributions and dedication in establishing the journal’s strong foundation over the years are sincerely acknowledged and appreciated.

The reinvigorated Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal, under the stewardship of Vital Signs Press, is now poised to explore new frontiers in scholarly communication and foster collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and academics worldwide. By embracing online publication, the journal aims to stay at the forefront of scientific advancement and make valuable contributions to the ever-evolving field of pharmaceuticals and pharmacotherapy.

For authors, researchers, and readers interested in this exciting transformation, the APPJ invites them to explore its digital presence and submit their high-quality research to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical and pharmacotherapy knowledge.

Together, let us embark on this new digital journey and continue to elevate the Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal as a prominent platform for cutting-edge research in the years to come.
