The Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal (APPJ) embarked on its journey in 2001 in collaboration with Azərbaycan Tibb Universiteti. Its primary aim was to serve as a conduit for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary partnerships, and actively contributing to the overarching progress and evolution of these specialized disciplines. Over the span of two fruitful decades, from 2001 to 2021, APPJ accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully publishing 21 volumes in its traditional print format, with Azerbaijani as the predominant language of publication.
In an endeavor to enhance accessibility and broaden its reach, APPJ embraced a pivotal transformation. The journal transitioned from being exclusively in print to offering both print and online versions. Beginning in the year 2023, APPJ took a momentous step by adopting English as the primary language of publication. This strategic shift was motivated by the desire to make the journal more comprehensible and accessible to a global readership, thus ensuring its relevance on an international scale.
APPJ stands committed to its core mission of disseminating knowledge. It continues to serve as a platform for the publication of original research articles, comprehensive reviews, insightful case reports, and other pertinent content. These contributions are carefully curated to advance our understanding, promote innovation, and disseminate best practices in the fields of pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutics, medical sciences, and mathematical chemistry.
